Thanks again for a great afternoon of trout fishing on your Private Creek two years ago. Wow, time flies!

I've had several guided trout fishing trips in Montana and Idaho from a drift boat.
I've also had guided bone fishing trips in South Andros, Bahamas, from a poled flats boat and wading trips with many guides.
However, I had never had a personal guided wade fishing trip for trout like with you. In that regard, my trip with you was unique and there were several other factors that made the trip unique: It was on private waters so no competition; there were LOTS of fish and they were aggressive; you were very patient pointing out how to best fish the stream and quick to change flies after refusals; I caught more than 25 fish (at least 10 over 20"+) and the "grand slam" of brooks, browns, rainbows on nymphs and dry flies. Finally, the pictures you took and quickly emailed to me were icing on the cake!!
By far, you made it the best day of trout fishing I've ever had!!!..... Actually, The Best Day Fishing I've Ever Had. PERIOD...

Thats all I can say about my day on the water with Carl, I saw the pics from previous fishing trips and I was like yeah maybe I'll get one big one if I'm lucky. What a day, during my professional Rodeo career I've had the pleasure to fish all over the US and Canada. I had no idea this caliber of fishing was so close.
Carl was not only a great guide but a gentleman, with the patience of a saint. I had two thirteen year old boys with me that spent more time in the tree's than in the water.
I could not have scripted a better day of fishing , not only were the numbers good but the amount of fish we caught over 20 inches unbelievable.
The final go round was to catch a Big Golden, I think Carl tied on every fly in his bag until we caught one. Thanks again looking forward to our next trip.

One of my most memorable times is my recent first fishing trip with Carl; that is say: my first ever time fishing.
Carl was great at picking flies and changing spots and lures when the fishing dropped off. I guess knowing those things is the intimidating part of fly fishing because we caught a lot of trout, but laughed the hardest at the biggest one, which we netted. Carl is a good teacher and preps you well.
Whether you are a novice or experienced fisherman, just listen to him and enjoy.

Bob Timberlake is an American realist artist primarily known for his watercolor paintings as well as for designing and licensing lines of home furnishings, clothing and various other products. He began his career as an artist in 1970 and began his home furnishings line in 1990. He founded Linwood Furniture, LLC in 2006. His primary studio was created from a historic barn built in 1809 and moved to its current location in 1986.
